Registered Massage Therapist
Melissa MacIntosh graduated from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in May of 2018. In the 4 plus years prior to beginning her education in Massage Therapy, Melissa put her passion to helping others in working as a Continuing Care Assistant. When not in the clinic you can find her weight lifting at the gym 4-5 times per week and is an amateur powerlifter. Her dedication to the health and well-being of others, in combination with her love for sports and fitness, led her to this new pathway
in health care.
In the next year Melissa has plans pursue a certification in Fascial Stretch Therapy and also become specialized in treating TMJ pain and dysfunction. She also plans to work towards achieving her certification as a Sports Massage Therapist.
Melissa has become skilled in the use of many different manual therapies while obtaining her education. Some of these therapies include Deep Tissue Massage, Chinese Cupping, trigger point and Myofascial release, and athletic injury prevention and rehabilitation. Melissa is also skilled in the treatment of neurological conditions and chronic pain, as well as providing pregnancy massage therapy.
