Rachel is a Registered Acupuncturist originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick, now returning to her second home of Nova Scotia she is eager to share with its community her continuously evolving perspective of support and healing.

 

She attended the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Halifax and graduated in 2017 with distinction. She has spent the last 6 years solidifying her knowledge and ability as a practitioner through practice and continued education focusing on a wide range of specialties including mental health and addictions, women's reproductive health, and trauma-informed care.   Having a keen interest in the psychosomatic applications of this medicine, she travelled to Boulder CO in 2018 to become certified as an Esoteric acupuncturist, learning from the founder of the practice Dr. Mikio Sankey.  Rachel is furthering her Esoteric training this month and hopes to eventually teach this style of acupuncture.  Rachel will also be attending a doula training course this spring at the Sacred Birthing School in Hawaii directed by colleague and visionary Barbara Essman.

 

Rachel believes deeply in empowering the individual and offering a client forward, community-centered approach. She believes we all have the wisdom within to guide our own healing and acupuncture is just one tool we can use to help decipher what our bodies are communicating.

  When not working you can find Rachel out appreciating nature, attending a yoga class, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones.
